美國MPA專業(yè)概況及與MPP的區(qū)別

MPA(Master of Public Affairs)又分為MPA(Master of Public Administration) 公共管理/ MPP (Master of Public Policy)公共政策。頂尖名校的MPA(Master of Public Administration)通常屬于Mid-career課程，即為已經(jīng)有相關工作經(jīng)驗的人士設置，課程更偏重管理，而剛畢業(yè)的本科生則更傾向于申請 對工作經(jīng)驗要求不高的MPP，后者更偏重于政策方面的研究，對數(shù)學要求會稍高一些。

　　關于MPA與MPP的區(qū)別：

　　MPP programs tend to provide more focused training in policy analysis and policy design, while MPA programs usually still provide more focused coursework in program implementation and public management.

　　二者在課程結(jié)構(gòu)設置上無太大差別，均由三個部分組成：

　　1、 General Required Courses

　　必修課主要是經(jīng)濟、政治、統(tǒng)計分析類的專業(yè)基礎課程;

　　2、Elective Courses in an area of concentration

　　學生依據(jù)自己的專業(yè)細分方向選擇諸如環(huán)境政策、領導力和決策等課程;

　　3、Internship

　　本科畢業(yè)后直接申請的學生，在兩年內(nèi)必須修滿一定比例的實習分。

　　以下我們以MPA專業(yè)全美第一的雪城大學為例來看一下MPA的課程設置：

　　27 hours of common and flexible core courses:

　　? 3 hours Applied Microeconomics for Policy Analysis

　　Internship requirement:

　　? 0-3 hours Internship

　　1、美國地方政府
